The BRELX rail clamp is uniquely designed to be fully released and retracted from the rail head, and there is no mechanical guide at the horizontal position of the rail.

This design avoids wear and tear on the guides, brakes and rail heads. In addition, when the crane moves, the impact of vibration on the rail fixture mechanism is minimized.
