The wheel brakes generate force through the springs on both sides, acting on the crane wheels.
The oversized brake pads are equipped with friction materials and installed on the side flange of the driving wheel to provide friction and thus have braking capability.
Operated and released by Brelx hydraulic power unit HPU
Características principales
- Wheel braking mechanism: spring setting – hydraulic release
- The flow control valve installed on the brake can adjust the setting time from 3 to 30 seconds
- Self lubricating bushings and stainless steel pins for all pivot points
- The proximity switch is used to release the indicator signal
- Brake shoes are easy to disassemble and replace
- Made of high-quality structural steel
- The nominal shrinkage gap is 1 millimeter on each side. Recommended maximum clearance of 2 millimeters per siderice
advantage
The WB wheel brake is designed as a parking brake, suitable for use when the equipment comes to a complete stop.
In emergency situations, such as emergency parking, they can also be used as dynamic brakes.
By directly applying spring force to the wheel rim, the stress and strain that would otherwise be applied to the crane support beam and frame components can be minimized to the greatest extent possible.
