The DLBZ electronic mechanical wheel edge brake consists of a micro motor, a reduction transmission device, an electromagnetic retainer with one-way check and separation functions, a ball screw amplitude, a cam force increasing mechanism, a spring brake cylinder, a brake caliper, and an electronic control system.

The micro motor drives the ball screw amplitude compression spring to release the brake, and the electromagnetic retainer maintains an open state. By controlling the electromagnetic retainer to release the compression spring, the brake caliper is closed.

During operation, the deceleration transmission device is driven by a micro motor to output thrust from the ball screw, and the braking spring force is eliminated through a cam force increasing mechanism to open the brake caliper.

After opening, the motor stops working and is reversed by the electromagnetic retainer reverse deceleration transmission device to maintain the open state.

When braking, the electromagnetic retainer is energized to engage and disengage the retainer, causing the deceleration transmission device to reverse. The compressed brake spring force causes the brake caliper to brake, producing a braking effect.

The windproof device adopts an electronic mechanical drive mechanism, which can easily meet various windproof requirements of the equipment through automated control, and has excellent windproof effect.

Note:

  • Point by point paired release: refers to multiple wheel side brakes on the same device being able to brake in batches according to the set braking point position and delay time sequence. Generally, it can be switched on in two to three batches, with a delay time of 2-10 seconds.
  • Power outage delay braking: refers to the ability to release in pairs point by point through the backup power supply carried by the control system itself when the power supply is cut off. And it will not cause significant impact on the equipment by simultaneously applying all wheel brakes during a power outage.
  • When operating a large crane, keeping the wheel brakes in a released state for a long time is beneficial for releasing the dynamic load stress on the crane wheels. The interlocking of the wheel brake control signal with the anemometer signal and emergency stop signal can improve the automatic windproof capability of the equipment.
